Born on July 2, 1933, Bob played a pivotal role in the success of the Hoy Family Auto dealership, which has thrived under three generations of family ownership. His dedication to excellent customer service and community engagement helped the dealership become a trusted name in the region.Beyond his contributions to the business, Bob was a founding member of the Paso del Norte Health Foundation and the Paso del Norte Community Foundation. His leadership and vision were instrumental in shaping these organizations, which focus on improving health and quality of life in the region. Bob and his wife, Rose Ann, established the Bob and Rose Ann Hoy Fund to support various philanthropic endeavors, reflecting their lifelong commitment to giving back to the community.Bob's legacy extends to his mentorship of young leaders and his impact on community development programs. The REALIZE leadership development program, named in his honor, continues to cultivate new leaders in El Paso, embodying Bob's spirit of service and dedication. Bob Hoy's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family, business, and community, leaving an indelible mark on El Paso.

- Steve McLellan Hoy, son of Robert "Bob" Hilary Hoy Jr., was a dedicated leader at Hoy Family Auto. Born and raised in El Paso, he graduated from St. Clement's School, El Paso High School, Southern Methodist University, and Baylor University, where he earned a Master's in Geology. Steve served as the Chief Operating Officer of Hoy Family Auto, embodying a passion for the automotive industry and mentoring his staff. He was actively involved in the El Paso community, serving in various organizations such as the El Paso Community Foundation and the Kern Place Association.Steve was known for his love of adventure and the outdoors, enjoying activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. His commitment to family and community was evident in all aspects of his life. He was a mentor and role model to many, fostering a supportive and family-oriented work environment at the dealership. Steve's legacy of leadership and service continues to inspire those who knew him, leaving a lasting impact on the El Paso community and the automotive industry.
